Natural Dye Workshop - Sunday May 19th, 1-3 pm

We're excited to announce our first natural dye workshop of 2024! Join Farmer Mary Liz for a creative afternoon exploring the fundamentals of natural dyes. Learn to extract beautiful yellow and orange hues from our organically grown and dried marigold flowers. Explore various dyeing techniques and methods to achieve different shades and patterns on fabric, including shibori, a Japanese manual resist dyeing technique, and bundle dying. Participants will roll up their sleeves, immerse themselves in the dying process, and take home a naturally dyed silk or cotton bandana. You'll also leave with a small supply of dried marigold flowers and the knowledge to jumpstart your at-home dye practice. Whether you're a seasoned crafter or new to the world of natural dyeing, this workshop promises to be an inspiring and educational experience for all. Register here.
